Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness in the United States. Every person suffering from diabetes should have an annual eye examination which includes dilation and careful evaluation of their retina for disorders that can occur due to diabetic blood vessel damage.

In some instances, it may be necessary for diabetic patients to have laser treatments on their retina, which when applied in a timely fashion can be vision saving.  Our doctors are experts at performing diabetic retinopathy examinations.
